The Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Art (DUA) proudly took part in the Speak Out – Formation 3: Recruitment & Selection in Circus Arts training program, organized by FEDEC (the European Federation of Professional Circus Schools) in Barcelona, September 3-5, 2024.
The first day began with an engaging and productive board meeting, followed by an inspiring opening session led by expert Aike Roodenburg. The focus of the training was on recruitment and selection processes within circus education—an essential component in ensuring the sustainability and growth of the art form.
For the DUA Foundation, this participation holds special significance. It represents a key step in integrating Ukrainian circus artists and educators into the international circus community, building partnerships, and learning from leading European institutions. Through such engagements, we aim to promote Ukrainian circus not only as a part of cultural heritage but as a vibrant, innovative, and contemporary art form worthy of global recognition.
