On December 2, 2025, an international online workshop was held with the participation of teachers from the London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) — one of Europe’s leading institutions in contemporary dance.
Students of the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Circus and Performing Arts joined the workshop and had the opportunity to explore current approaches to contemporary dance education and training methodologies within an international context.
The programme focused on developing key skills of a contemporary performer, including body awareness, improvisation, stage presence, and movement practice. Special emphasis was placed on creative exploration, interaction, and the development of an individual artistic voice, which is essential in modern dance practice.
Participation in this workshop allowed students to broaden their professional perspective, gain valuable experience working with international teachers, and feel part of the global artistic community.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the Charitable Foundation for the Development of Ukrainian Art, which actively promotes the integration of Ukrainian students into the international educational space and creates new opportunities for their professional growth.
